Hello, and welcome, to Throwaway Literature. I’m Amelia and every day I wonder why the world is the way it is. Does it have to be this way? Could we maybe change it for the better? Or does changing the world come with changing ourselves? Can we even do anything?!
I’m pretty sure that we can. It will take a long time. It will be a gradual, incremental change. People will become frustrated. Progress may even appear to stop. BUT, and this is a big but if we keep going at it, every day, in hundreds of little ways, and a few really big ones, we might just see a world full of love for others, love for ourselves, people taking a stand for what they believe in, and world which truly is run by us.
This blog is currently for the use of promoting my zines, Throwaway Literature and Silence, Cupcake. If you’d like to read more rants which the above seem to promise, then head over to That Fucking Hippy. Otherwise, buy a zine!
Oh, me?
I enjoy life, as much as I can. I’m lucky enough to live fairly freely and am jetting off to South America in October for at least a year. I don’t use animal products in my life at all, some people might call me vegan. I inhale chocolate, biscuits, hummus and enormous salads. Also, sweet potato. I make the BEST chocolate brownie cupcakes you have ever tasted. I occasionally write for Amelia’s Magazine (totally different Amelia) about all things political, environmental and sometimes arty. I am obsessed with the environment and all the little and big things we can do to protect the rainforest and the peoples within.
