26 before 26

I think I’m going through a quarter life crisis. ‘What is the point of life?’ ‘What am I doing with my time?’ ‘Why am I here?’ ‘Where is the last éclair?!’ So in order to give my pointless dilettantism some structure, and to create a perceived sense of purpose to my existence, & somewhat inspired by Ega Jones, I have written a list of 26 things to do before I myself am 26, on December the 20th. (I had a suspicion that I was 25, but I still had to double-check my actual age.)

They aren’t all hugely meaningful; some of them are things I’ll do anyway, and some of them are things I’ll have to push myself a bit to do. Naturally, I’ll be blogging about them here when I get to cross them through.

Here we go:

1. Write three chapters (10,000 words) of a novel

2. Assemble 3x work appropriate outfits on the cheap

3. Submit 1 photo to a competition

4. Book a foreign holiday

5. Go vegan for a week

6. Decorate & cosify the new flat on the cheap

7. Celebrate my cousin’s wedding

8. Make 10 hair slides from Fimo clay

9. Celebrate my Grandma’s 80th birthday

10. Make 5 savings jars for change to save for wine, travel, plugins, cake & books

11. Go trampolining

12. Read 40 books

13. Start a Physics A Level

14. Read one Social Media/Marketing Book

15. Make a difference at my next internship

16. Make a chocolate souflée

17. Save £200

18. Have 50 regular readers of Throwaway Literature

19. Double my monthly income

20. Fill a small notebook with doodles

21. Get a proper audit of my accounts

22. Go one place I’ve never been before

23. Organise my stationery and notebooks

24. Move to Molesey

25. Visit three more cupcake cafés in London

26. Cycle 5 miles per week

One of the many bonuses of this, is that I get to count down to legitimately countdown to my birthday from fifteen weeks away.
